Adding a Header & Subheader

To add a heading to your layout or page text, the following code insert your desired heading text. The smaller the number used in the header coding, the bigger the text (applies mostly when you are not using any custom CSS and are using plain HTML).

<h1>Your Heading Text</h1>
<h2>Your Subheading Text</h2>

Editing Headers & Subheaders

Already have a base code or a layout and want to change the look of the headers and subheaders in your layout? You will probably find elements labeled h1 { and h2 { in your CSS. The former is your header, and the latter is your subheader. For both of these, you can change the color, the font-family, the font-size, the font-style, the letter-spacing, and much more! The four links to the right of the site’s logo have guides for pretty much any changes you could ever want to make to your headers and subheaders.

h1 {
color: #000000;
font-family: Times New Roman;
font-size: 48px;
letter-spacing: 0px;}
h2 {
color: #eeeeee;
font-family: Times New Roman;
font-size: 36px;
font-style: italic;
font-weight: bold;
letter-spacing: 4px;}
